Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Plagiarism Check & AI Humanize app (the “App”), developed by Muhammad Noman Tariq (“we”, “us”), handles information when you use it on iPhone, iPad or Mac. In short: no account, no ads, no tracking, and we do not keep the text you check.
Summary
- You do not need an account or sign-up to use the App.
- The App shows no ads and contains no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.
- Text you submit is sent securely to our server only to produce your result, and it is not stored afterwards.
- Your check history is stored only on your device, and you can delete it in the App.
- Purchases are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details.
1. Text you submit
When you run a check, the text you entered (typed, pasted, imported from a file or web link, or dictated) is sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection to our server at tool.maliknoman.dev. It is used only to produce the result you asked for:
- Plagiarism Checker: short snippets of your text are used as web search queries, and publicly available web pages found in those searches are fetched so they can be compared with your text. The search queries necessarily contain those snippets.
- AI Humanizer and Tone Detector: your text is processed by a third-party AI model provider, Groq, to generate the rewritten text or the tone analysis. Groq’s handling of that data is governed by its own terms and privacy policy.
- AI Detector: your text is analyzed by our server to estimate whether it is AI-generated or human-written.
Our server does not use a database for your text. It processes the request, returns the result to the App, and does not keep your text after responding. We do not use your text to build profiles about you.
Please avoid submitting sensitive personal information (for example, health, financial or government ID details) that you do not want processed as described above.
2. Files and web links
When you import a PDF, DOCX or TXT file, the App reads the text from the file you select. When you import from a web link, the App retrieves the text of that page. The extracted text is then handled as described in Section 1 when you run a check.
3. History stored on your device
Your check history (the text you checked and its results) is stored only locally on your device, using the device’s secure storage (Keychain) and local app storage. It is not uploaded to us. You can delete individual items or your whole history at any time in the App. Deleting the App also removes its local data, although items stored in the Keychain may be retained by iOS until the device is reset.
4. Voice dictation
If you choose to dictate text, the App uses Apple’s Speech framework and asks for permission to access the microphone and speech recognition. Audio is processed by Apple to convert speech into text, in accordance with Apple’s Privacy Policy. We do not receive or store your audio. You can turn these permissions off at any time in your device Settings.
5. Purchases and subscriptions
Pro subscriptions are purchased through Apple’s App Store and processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your name, payment card or billing details. The App checks your subscription status through Apple’s StoreKit to unlock Pro features.
6. No accounts, ads, analytics or tracking
The App does not require an account, does not display ads, and does not include third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs. We do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not sell or rent your data.
7. Who we share data with
We share data only as needed to provide the features you use:
- Groq (AI model provider), for the AI Humanizer and Tone Detector, to process the text you submit.
- Web search and public websites, for the Plagiarism Checker, which receive search queries containing short snippets of your text or requests to fetch public pages.
- Apple, for in-app purchases and, if you use it, voice dictation.
- Authorities, only if we are required to do so by law.
8. Security
All communication between the App and our server uses HTTPS encryption. Because our server does not keep your text after responding, there is no stored copy of your text on our server to be exposed. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
9. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
10. Your choices and rights
Because we do not keep your text or maintain accounts, we generally hold no personal data about you on our servers. You control the data on your device and can delete your history in the App at any time. Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data; you can contact us at any time to ask about them.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date above. Significant changes may also be announced in the App.
12. Contact
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, contact Muhammad Noman Tariq at dev.nomantariq@gmail.com. See also our Terms of Use.
